Disinfection for healthcare

It has been shown that better hygiene and more effective disinfection can greatly reduce the risk of healthcare-associated infections. Skin disinfection is important, both in healthcare, before invasive medical procedures, and in patients and staff to prevent the transmission of infection. The disinfectants now recommended are alcohol and chlorhexidine, individually or together.
